Arrival in either in Dar Es Salaam (J K Nyerere International Airport) or Kilimanjaro (Kilimanjaro International Airport) Tanzania and Transfer to Selous Game Reserve Upon your arrival in Tanzania, our professional and friendly guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Selous Game Reserve.

Details

  • You will be picked up at the hotel 8:00am in the morning after breakfast and drive for 5-6 hours to Selous Nyerere National Park.
  • Upon your arrival you will have hot lunch at the Camp followed by short rest.
  • At 16:00pm enjoy evening Boat safari in the Rufiji River for 2-3 hours.
  • There you will find a variety of birds species and a lot of crocodiles with hippos during your boat safari.
  • In the evening, you will have an overnight stay at Selous Ngalawa Camp.

  • You will have breakfast in your accommodation followed by full-day game drives in the reserve.
  • Selous is home to a large population of elephants, a big number of buffalos and wild dogs.
  • Other species commonly seen are lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus and crocodiles.
  • Your overnight stay will be at the Selous Hippo Camp or Selous Ngalawa Camp.

  • In the morning after breakfast, you will check out and proceed by crossing north of Nyerere Park and driving to Mikumi National Park.
  • This safari can take you about 8 hours to Mikumi National Park, crossing through Mount Uluguru. Arrival Mikumi Bastian Camp for dinner and Over Night.
  • On arrival we will go on our first game drive in Mikumi National Park until later in the afternoon
  • Then we drive to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
  • Mikumi National Park is relatively less developed infrastructure but that makes the park even better because that has helped in preserving the wilderness in its natural state for many years.
  • Overnight at Camp Bastian.
Accommodation: Hippo Camp
  • Morning after breakfast drive again to Mikumi National Park for another game drive.
  • Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope.
  • Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.
  • Overnight at Camp Bastian or Mikumi Bandas on Full Board Basis.

  • Mid-range lodge located just outside Mikumi NP

  • Early morning at 6:30 before breakfast walking to Maasai Village, the Boma locate at Mikumi Village will welcomes you then one of the Maasai guide will explain the life, past and today’s life of Maasai in Tanzania,
  • We will have a chance to learn about their culture and dance then walking back to the hotel for breakfast
  • Drive back to Dar es Salaam.
